Keep up with the trend! After Bitcoin Futures ETF, ProShares to Launch Metaverse ETF

ProShares plans to launch a metaverse-focused fund, the ProShares Metaverse Theme ETF, according to the company's filing with the SEC on Tuesday. Theme Index.

The index is said to consist of companies that offer or use technologies for products and services related to the metaverse, such as data processing and metaverse devices. Among them, Apple (AAPL.US), Meta Platforms (FB.US) and Nvidia (NVDA.US) are some of the most heavily weighted stocks in the index.

ProShares is understood to be the latest company to try to profit from the emerging meta-universe trend. As of Dec. 28, assets under the Global Metaverse ETF have soared to $2.2 billion, with most of the ETFs launched only last quarter. Among them, the Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF has seen its assets rise to $916 million since its launch on June 30. And, in addition, in November this year, Canada launched two metaverse-related ETFs in one day.
